Local: Support Mission Southside

Mission Southside has a neighbor's heart ... a heart that loves Jesus Christ and one that genuinely cares about the needs of others.

 

The fundamental goal of Mission Southside is to take Jesus Christ to the people who are "outside" the church, to the lost and to those in need.

 

We recognize that many people cannot open their hearts to Christ until the weight of their life has been lifted. Perhaps they have family members going without adequate food or clothing. They might be struggling with health related issues, cannot give their children assistance with homework because they do not read or speak English well, or maybe they just need a bed so their kids do not have to sleep on the floor any longer.  As often as possible, Mission Southside will partner with other community organizations, but act independently when necessary to help meet these needs in the hope of softening hearts so the Holy Spirit may be heard.

 

Without drawing boundaries, the general scope of activities will include:

• Bible studies in targeted communities
• Providing clothing, food, furniture, and transportation services
• Women's support groups
• Economic assistance
• Children's programs

Our hope is in Jesus Christ, our prayer is that God will be glorified, and our heart is for the lost. We would love to have you join us in that mission.
